Saving and Sharing Reports
With Pike13, you have the power to customize your reporting experience to fit your unique business needs. By saving your personalized report settings—including filters—as Favorites, you can streamline your workflow and easily access critical insights whenever you need them. Each Favorite is unique to you, meaning only you can view them unless you choose to share. When you run a favorite report, it will always reflect the most current data, ensuring you make informed decisions based on up-to-date information.
Creating a Favorite Report
To create a favorite report, follow these steps:
- Access Reporting and Analytics: Select Reporting and Analytics at the top of any page.
- Set Up Your Report: Configure the report with your desired filters and settings.
- Add to Favorites: Click +Add Favorite in the upper right corner.
- Name and Describe Your Report: Enter a Name and a brief Description for the report.
- Save Your Favorite: Click Save.
Running a Favorite Report
To view your favorite reports:
- Access Reporting and Analytics: Select Reporting and Analytics at the top of any page.
- Navigate to Favorites: Click Favorites in the right-hand menu.
- Select Your Report: Choose the favorite report you wish to view. The report will display the current data according to the filters you previously set.
Deleting a Favorite Report
To delete a favorite report:
- Access Reporting and Analytics: Select Reporting and Analytics at the top of any page.
- Navigate to Favorites: Click Favorites in the right-hand menu.
- Delete the Report: Click the trash icon next to the favorite report you want to remove.
Broken Favorites
If a favorited report is not functioning as expected, it may be due to updates in the reporting system. All favorites are saved as URLs, which can break when the reporting structure changes. If this happens, review the URL, adjust the filters as needed, and then re-save the report as a favorite.
Sharing a Favorite Report
Sharing your favorite reports with team members is easy and helps keep everyone on the same page, and save your whole team time. Here’s how to do it:
- Get Your Report Ready: Customize the report to reflect the specific data you want to share, applying any necessary filters and removing any unnecessary columns.
- Save to Favorites: Save the report as a Favorite following the steps outlined above.
- Copy the URL: Once saved, copy the URL from your browser’s address bar.
- Share the Link: Send the copied link to anyone who has reporting access, allowing them to view the report with the same filters you’ve applied. Make sure you tell them to save it to their Favorites!
