How do I move a client to a different course session?

When managing enrollments for courses, there are occasions when a client may need to switch to a different course session after they've already paid. Below are the two options for handling such requests: Option A, which involves transferring the client to a new course with a 100% discount, and Option B, which includes refunding the client and then re-enrolling them in the new session.

Option A: Transfer with a 100% Discount

This option allows you to move a client to a different course session without processing a refund. Instead, you will cancel their current enrollment and enroll them in the new course, applying a 100% discount to reflect the payment they have already made. This option works best if the course fees are the same.

  1. Go to the clients profile.
  2. Click on the course session you wish to cancel.
  3. Choose Cancel.
  4. After canceling, enroll the client in the new course session.
  5. Apply a 100% discount to the course invoice.
  6. Complete enrollment.

Option B: Refund and Re-enroll

Option B involves issuing a refund for the original course and then re-enrolling the client in the new session, at which point they can either be recharged or use account credit. This option is best when a client prefers a refund or if there are differences in course fees.

  1. Go to the clients profile.
  2. Click on the Course session you wish to cancel.
  3. Choose Cancel.
  4. Click on the invoice for the canceled course.
  5. Refund the Payment back to the client's credit card or as an account credit.
  6. Enroll the client in the new course session.
  7. Apply either account credit or charge the credit card for the new course.
  8. Complete enrollment
