Proration happens automatically when a client starts a plan on a day different from your set billing date. This is ideal for scenarios like:
- A new client joins mid-month and needs to be charged for only part of the cycle.
- You want to reward long-time clients with a special discount for changing plans.
- A client is upgrading to a higher-tier membership and you want to adjust their initial payment seamlessly.
With Pike13, you can choose whether to allow proration or override it at checkout, ensuring your billing matches the unique needs of your business. How to Override the Prorated Monthly Payment:
- Head to Clients at the top of any Pike13 page.
- Select the client’s name.
- On the client’s profile, click New Purchase in the right menu.
- Choose the recurring plan your client wants from the Choose a Product page.
- In the shopping cart, click Modify (gear icon).
- Under First Invoice Adjustment, click Edit:
- Choose No if you don’t want to prorate.
- Select Yes to adjust the prorated amount, then enter the exact amount to subtract.
- Click Save and return Back to Shopping Cart.
- Finalize the purchase with Secure Checkout.
