How Proration Works
In Pike13, you can set a recurring monthly plan to bill on a specific date (e.g., the 1st of every month).
If a client purchases this plan on a different day (e.g., the 20th), Pike13 automatically calculates a Prorated First Invoice.

The Calculation: The system calculates the cost per day and charges the client only for the days remaining until the next billing cycle (e.g., from the 20th to the 30th).

Online Purchases: When clients purchase online, this proration is automatic and cannot be adjusted by the client.
Manually Overriding Proration
If your business handles partial months differently (e.g., you want to waive the partial month or charge a flat startup fee instead), staff members can manually adjust the first invoice during the checkout process.

Navigate to the Client Profile of the person buying the plan.

On the right side menu, click New Purchase.
- On the Choose a product page, select the recurring plan your client wants to purchase.

In the Shopping Cart, look for the item line and click Modify

Locate the section labeled First Invoice Adjustment.

Click Edit. You will see two options:

No: Select this to turn off proration completely (the client will be billed the full monthly amount immediately).

Yes: Select this to apply a custom proration. You will be asked to enter the amount you wish to subtract from the first bill.

Click Save.

Click Back to Shopping Cart and proceed to Secure Checkout to complete the payment.
