How do I set up semi-private appointments?
Options for setting up staff-managed or self-enrolled semi-private appointments in Pike13
If you want to offer semi-private appointments where multiple clients can book and share the session, you have a few different options to choose from. You can set up semi-private sessions either as an appointment service, which is managed by staff, or as a class service, which allows clients to self-enroll. Below are the steps for both methods:

Staff-Managed Semi-Private Bookings
If you prefer to manually manage semi-private bookings, use an Appointment Service and have staff add additional clients after the initial booking is made.
- Create an appointment service called "Semi-Private" (or a similar relevant name).
- Add staff availability for the semi-private session.
- Decide how clients will book:
- Allow one client to book online. After the first client books and secures the time slot, staff can enroll additional clients in that same appointment time.
- OR, restrict booking to staff only. When a group requests a semi-private session, staff can book the appointment and add all participating clients at once.
Tip: This method ensures that the appointment time is immediately reserved by the first client, and staff maintain control over filling the remaining capacity.
Client Self-Enrollment Semi-Private Bookings
If you want clients to book themselves into semi-private sessions without staff involvement, you must create a Class Service instead.
- Create a class service named "Semi-Private" (or a similar relevant name).
- Set the capacity to more than one, allowing multiple clients to enroll up to the set limit.
- Build the class schedule by adding separate class times for each day and time clients can enroll in.
Note: A Class Service allows multiple clients to enroll themselves online until the capacity limit is reached, making it ideal for self-managed semi-private sign-ups.
