A Guide to Business Insights in Pike13
Reporting in Pike13 equips you with a powerful set of tools designed to help you extract specific answers about your business. These reports allow you to customize your view of business data according to your unique needs, enabling you to refine the data until you find the answers that will guide your actions.
Understanding Your Reports
Each report provides summaries of relevant data alongside detailed views from which the summaries are derived. You can refine the Details view by applying filters to various columns. Summaries dynamically update based on your refinements to the details.
Access and Permissions
Anyone with owner permissions can view, filter, and export any financial and payroll reports for your Pike13 business. Both owners and managers have permission to access visitor and membership reports and can grant staff members access to specific reports.
Categories of Reports
Your Pike13 reports are organized into four main categories: Favorites, Insights, Clients & Staff, and Financial Reports. You can save the settings for any report under a unique name, allowing you to revisit the same question about your business with updated data whenever needed. You can also share the link to favorite reports with anyone who has permission to access that data.
Important Note: Please allow up to 60 minutes for updates to appear in Reporting.
Available Reports
Here’s a breakdown of the reports available in each category, along with the types of questions you can answer with each report:
Clients & Staff Reports
- Clients: Detailed insights into client information, such as tenure, unpaid bills, and birthdays.
- Client Passes & Plans: Data on passes and plans purchased, including popularity and usage statistics.
- Enrollments: Visit history and trends, revealing peak usage times and service value.
- Schedule: Information on scheduled services, identifying popularity among services and staff.
- Staff Members: Comprehensive details on staff, including attendance and tenure.
Financial Reports (restricted to owners and authorized staff)
- Invoices: Summaries of billings, status updates, and revenue insights.
- Invoice Items: Detailed views of sold and billed items in closed invoices.
- Payroll: Staff pay details, including rates and hours worked.
- Transactions: Overview of all financial transactions within your business.
- Transactions by Invoice Items: Item-level details of transaction revenue.
Making the Most of Your Reports
To access reports, navigate to the top of any Pike13 page, select Analytics & Reporting, and then click Reporting. Choose a report category and the specific report you wish to explore.
Utilizing Quick Views
Each report type includes pre-defined views that offer quick insights into your business. These quick views serve as excellent starting points for tailored reports, which you can create by filtering, ordering, and grouping the underlying data.
Saving and Reusing Your Reports
You can save your customized report settings, including filters, as a Favorite. Saved Favorites are unique to each user, ensuring that only you can see your personalized reports unless you share a link with someone who has permission to view the data.
- Select Favorites.
- Ensure "Save a new one" is checked, then click Next.
- Enter a name and description for the report settings, and click Save.
Exporting Report Data
To export report data, click Export in the upper right-hand corner of the report. You can choose to download the data as an Excel or CSV file. You will receive an email with a link to your exported file when it’s ready, but remember that the data at the time of export may be more current than what you see on-screen.
Granting Report Access to Staff
To provide reporting access to a staff member, select Staff, then click the staff member’s name. In their profile menu, use Advanced Actions to grant or revoke report access as needed.
